10 Names for Thanksgiving Babies

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we are feeling inspired by this humble and inspiring celebration when it comes to baby naming. Taking place on the 23rd November 2017, Thanksgiving began as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year.

Put simply, Thanksgiving is about marking and celebrating what you are grateful for in life, something which we can all admit we need to try and do a lot more of.

Thanksgiving Traditions…

The main event surrounding Thanksgiving is the turkey dinner, shared with friends and family. Studies show that over 46.3 million Americans travel 50 miles or more to be with their loved ones at Thanksgiving. The holiday is an opportunity to spend time with your loved ones, reflect on the positive things that life has brought you and enjoy a delicious meal.

In many households, before sitting down to eat each family member must announce what they are thankful for, however big or small. The celebration often brings families closer together and is a great way in which to reflect on the positive things in life we often take for granted.

The celebration is inspirational and reminds us that we need to focus on the good in life, rather than the negative. Thanksgiving is the perfect time of year to be thankful for your loved ones. On Thanksgiving, take the time to do something nice for your partner or children, to make sure that they know they are loved and cherished and are as important to you as you are to them.

If you are expecting your baby around Thanksgiving, the miracle of a child is arguably one the most important things to be thankful for.  Thanksgiving provides inspiration across the world, so why not consider these baby names inspired by the celebration of Thanksgiving, as potential baby names for your baby born in November or December…

  1. I think it’s such a good idea to link your baby’s names to the season, and what a better choice than Thanksgiving! A time to reflect on everything we are grateful for. Love the names you’ve suggested, hadn’t realised some of them were related to blessings / being thankful.
